• The ALMA Summer Institute is now accepting applications for the summer 2026 program.

• The ALMA Summer Institute is a nine-week program, running from June 1st through July 31st (with some preliminary work beginning on May 5th )

**This is a paid apprenticeship and a competitive application. Clay experience is recommended, but not required

ALMA Summer Institute is working on multiple projects throughout Albuquerque. We are looking for youth applicants from Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. During the program, apprentices will help finalize a large-scale mosaic design on a free-standing concrete sculpture, cut tiles from wet clay, glaze, fire tiles, install, and grout the large-scale mosaic mural.  Apprentices will also learn valuable job skills, work with talented artists from around Albuquerque, and become part of the greater art community in Albuquerque.
