Art has been a consistent passion in my life for as long as I can remember. My first encounter with creating art was drawing Disney characters pictured on the back of the VHS covers for the films. From that point on, creating art in whatever form has always been on my mind. I did not really get to experience creating art in different mediums until middle school, when I moved to Albuquerque to live with my mother. Being fortunate enough to go to a middle and high school with amazing art programs, I was able to take classes working in artistic mediums such as photography, painting, drawing, and ceramics.

That foundation I built would eventually lead to me getting my first job with ALMA in 2015. Now it’s 2019, and I am so happy to have been with ALMA for four summers. Early in my life, I knew I wanted to work in the arts and it didn’t matter what kind of job I had. My first summer with ALMA really solidified this goal for myself and help to clarify what kind mediums were my favorite to create art in. The following year I graduated from high school and in the fall started at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. Sadly, a year later, my college closed, but I was able to transfer to my current college, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, which is located in Denver, CO. Since, I have a love for working in multiple mediums, I am working toward a BFA in Graphic Design, which gives me the ability to work with various ways of creating art and combine that with modern technology. I will be graduating next spring and I am thankful that working with ALMA played a part in helping me discover who I am as an artist.
