My name is Jacquelyn Yepa, I am a nineteen-year-old Native American from the Navajo(Diné) and Jemez(Walatowa) tribes. I am currently attending the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico and will be entering my sophomore year in fall of 2019.  I am going for my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a certificate in business. I have been with ALMA for four summers. ALMA was my first job at age 16 and has helped me clarify the direction I would like to take as far as my career. My time here has built my artistic skills such as: thinking in different perspectives, public speaking, planning, how to keep track of inventory, and networking. I enjoy the creative freedom this non-profit organization provides as well as the open minded artists I have the opportunity to collaborate with everyday.
