UNMH Project

ALMA was excited to work with UNM Hospital to create a tile mural in “Erin’s Place”. Erin’s Place is a housing unit being built for families to stay in while their children are receiving treatment for cancer at UNMH. Former ALMA member Jordyn Bernicke and artist Angus Macpherson > worked together to create a tile canvas for children at the hospital to paint and express themselves on. These children painted the most amazing tiles with the design of a beautiful Albuquerque scene including: houses, the bosque, the Rio Grande river, the Sandia mountains and the sky. These tiles were installed on a fountain that will be in the garden area of  “Erin’s Place” for families to see forever.
